SAT School Day

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is an assessment created and administered by the College Board and has been used as a college admissions test since the mid-1920s. Students may take the SAT for admission into a two- or four-year university, obtain scholarships, and/or assess their readiness for freshman-level college coursework.  The SAT suite of assessments includes the SAT and PSAT series of tests.  You can learn more here.

Kennedale High School offers two, on-campus opportunities, which are called School Days, for students to take the SAT.  In 2026-27, KHS will have a Fall SAT School Day and a Spring SAT School Day.  KHS wants 100% of students to take the SAT prior to graduation; therefore, provides every student with one free opportunity to take the SAT on-campus.  In 2026-27 all Juniors will automatically be registered and tested for the Spring 2027 SAT School Day.

KHS Fall 2026 SAT School Day - Thursday, October 8, 2026:

  • Registration & Payment Deadline: Thursday, September 17, 2026
    • Seniors (Grade 12) Who Have Not Taken the SAT -   Any Senior who has not take the SAT will automatically be registered and tested.
    • Seniors (Grade 12) Re-testers - Students who have used their "one free test" will not test for free.  Re-testers must register, and the test is $60. (This price is cheaper than testing at an off-campus location.)
    • Juniors (Grade 11) - Juniors may not take the SAT on this day; instead, all Juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT.

KHS Spring 2027 SAT School Day - Wednesday, April 21, 2026:

  • Registration & Payment Deadline:  Wednesday, March 31, 2027
    • Seniors (Grade 12) Who Have Not Taken the SAT - Any Senior who has not take the SAT will automatically be registered and tested.
    • Seniors (Grade 12) Re-testers - Students who have used their "one free test" will not test for free. Re-testers must register, and the test is $60. (This price is cheaper than testing at an off-campus location.)
    • Juniors (Grade 11) - All Juniors will automatically registered and tested.  (Registration is not necessary.)
    • Freshmen & Sophomores (Grades 9 & 10) - Underclassmen who do not have any other testing responsibilities may elect to take the SAT on the Spring School Day; however, the SAT is not free for 9th and 10th graders.  Underclassmen must register, and the test is $60.

Students have the option to pay online via MySchoolBucks or with cash/check. Students can make cash/check payments in the KHS Main Office (see Ms. Allstot).
